From the ashes, we rise...

Goliath

Goliath July 2024

When Goliath first arrived, I noticed right away his immune system was under duress. He had terrible pythium sores, weepy eyes, and an overall tense body posture. He had deep central sulcus thrush which had destroyed his frogs. After veterinary inspection and testing, Sunny Coast Veterinary confirmed my suspicions. He was positive for both pythium and Lymes Disease.

Four months later, everything had changed for the better. Through careful treatment for Lymes and healing his immune system via traditional Chinese medicine, his body finally turned a corner.

We've taken Goliath back to classical dressage ideology so he can use himself correctly.

Whiskey Thief

Whiskey came to us in June of 2023.

After careful inspection, we decided to pull his shoes immediately. His hooves had severe high/low pathology and we felt it best to crack open the can of worms. As his pour in pads were removed, a simple brushing away of the copper sulfate debris revealed a serious problem.

Whiskey was a case that resulted in loss of weight and topline when transitioned to a diet free of inflammatory ingredients. His gut rehabilitation took time but he came through the other side in better health.

He went back to the competition arena after only 4 months completely sound and healthy.

While he has rehabilitated very well, we still have more work to do. We are pleased to continue his development.

NonStop Flight aka "Ziggy"

Probably one of my most challenging hoof rehabs I've ever had, Ziggy took us 3 years to properly rehabiltate the damages to his hooves by shoes and the outdated trimming practices of the farriery industry. He officially went totally barefoot and sound the spring of 2024.
