My Philosophy

Phoenix Equestrian is built on structure, consistency, and accountability.

My approach to coaching is centered on developing capable, resilient riders through real experience—not avoidance of difficulty. Confidence is built through doing, through repetition, and through working through challenges, not stepping around them.

I guide my clients toward developing independence, awareness, and responsibility in both their riding and their overall horsemanship. Riders are expected to think, make decisions, and take ownership of their progress.

Training is most effective when both horse and rider are allowed to function naturally. At Phoenix Equestrian, we emphasize ethical horsemanship, barefoot practices, and whole-horse wellness. With a healthy foundation, both horse and rider are able to perform with clarity, willingness, and longevity.

My Experience

In my own life, I began seeing real progress when I became intentional in how I approached both learning and personal development. That mindset carries directly into how I coach.

My experience spans over 21 years in the equestrian industry, including work as a professional groom, trainer’s apprentice, equine bodyworker, barefoot hoof care professional, and veterinary technician. This background has allowed me to develop a well-rounded, practical understanding of both horse and rider.

That experience informs a program that is structured, consistent, and focused on producing capable, knowledgeable equestrians—not just riders.In my own life, I began seeing real progress when I became intentional in how I approached both learning and personal development.
